What are the obstacles to the development of building industrialization

Time:2024-08-27 Hit:

The obstacles to the development of building industrialization mainly include the following aspects:

First, technical challenges

Lack of standardized design methods: the current prefabricated design concept is mostly based on castin, split component design of prefabricated structure, lack of consideration of processing, assembly of proprietary technology, integration, standardization, digital degree is low, does not meet the needs of industrial production and assembly construction. This leads to the coexistence of cast-in-place and prefabrication methods in the same project, the form of components is complicated, the joint is complicated, and the process is cumbersome.

Lagging technology update: Despite the increasing call for digitalization and intelligence in the industry, many companies are still lagging behind in technological innovation, and it is difficult to quickly adapt to the new requirements of industry development. For example, although the popularization of BIM (building information modeling), intelligent construction and other technologies in the industry is accelerating, the overall application level still needs to be improved.

Second, economic costs

High cost: The cost of prefabricated buildings is higher than that of traditional processes, mainly due to the high production cost of prefabricated components, and the current degree of standardized design is low, resulting in industrial production lines are difficult to carry out large-scale continuous production. In addition, prefabricated buildings in the early stage of market promotion, because the scale effect has not yet formed, but also increased its cost burden.

Increased financing difficulty: Changes in the economic environment have made construction engineering enterprises face greater challenges in financing, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, due to low credit ratings, the cost and difficulty of obtaining funds are increasing. This further limits the capital investment in the development of building industrialization.

Third, policy and market environment

Immature policy support: Although the government has issued a number of policies to support the development of construction industrialization, the implementation of policies still faces many challenges. For example, the supply of industrial workers is insufficient, the policy of component transportation is not detailed and perfect, and the safety control in the assembly construction process is not differentiated management.

Low market acceptance: Because there are many uncertainties in the early promotion of prefabricated buildings, such as safety performance, quality hazards and other concerns, resulting in low market acceptance. In addition, some consumers and developers do not know enough about the advantages of prefabricated buildings, which also limits its market promotion.

Fourth, management and coordination ability

Low degree of integration: In the current development process of building industrialization, the coordination ability between design, production, construction and other links is still insufficient. This leads to the need for information reconstruction during the transmission of building information in each link, which seriously affects the efficient accumulation of project construction resources.

Lack of management experience: The application of new processes and structural forms puts higher demands on the site management of construction projects. However, the current experience in construction organization, process coordination, quality control, cost control and other aspects still need to be accumulated and improved.

V. Other factors

Some enterprises and industry practitioners do not attach enough importance to the industrialization of new buildings, and fail to promote it to the strategic height of enterprise development for planning and layout. This leads to deficiencies in resource investment, technology research and development and marketing.

Insufficient factory resources: Although the number of prefabricated component factories is growing rapidly, there is still a lack of high-quality factories and enterprises with large-scale, systematic, high level of automation and certain R & D design capabilities. This limits the production capacity and quality level of prefabricated buildings.

To sum up, the development of building industrialization faces many obstacles and challenges. In order to overcome these obstacles and promote the in-depth development of construction industrialization, it is necessary for the government, enterprises and industry parties to work together to strengthen technological innovation, improve policy support, enhance market acceptance, and strengthen management and collaborative ability.
